Conserving Biodiversity in Urban Life... "A plantation program was conducted at our site Devraai @ kiwale at the hands of flat holders of Devraai & each tree has been adopted by individual flat holder. These are fruit/flower bearing big growing trees supporting biodiversity & we planted trees of height 8-10' & of 1-2 year age, assuring survival! All families enthusiasticaly took part in the same & took oath of taking care of the trees they have planted.We will be making a name plate of their name & tree name with date of plantation which will be displayed along the tree. The name Devraai in itself means a sacred groove of trees around the village temple! We have planted nearly 60 trees in total! Sanjay DeshpandeSanjeevani Deve. |
